About the Company

CytoSport is a family-owned business in Concord, CA. They are a progressive, equal-opportunity workplace with almost non-existent turnover, generous employee benefit packages and safe, clean working conditions.

President/CEO Greg Pickett has over 30 years of experience in the nutritional supplement industry with an impeccable reputation. Pickett is also a competitive professional race driver who uses his own products with great success during his legendary SCCA Trans-Am career, where he has accumulated the most top-10 finishes of any driver in history.

Their are many serious athletes on the CytoSport staff who use the products every day (employees are encouraged to consume all the products they want for free and time off is given for travel to competitive events). Employees and sponsored athletes are provided the forum to offer frequent and candid feedback to product formulators. CytoSport works closely with numerous elite athletes, like Indy 500 race driver Scott Sharp, several members of the Oakland Raiders and their staple of top endurance athletes like triathlete Simon Lessing to ensure the products really work and taste good to real athletes.

It is not uncommon to see a professional athlete hanging around the lab tasting new flavors and offering guidance that is integrated into the end product. Not many companies can claim this devotion or close connection to the athletes they serve.

On the science side, CytoSport features Dr.George Brooks, one of the world's foremost exercise physiologists and sports nutrition scientists at UC Berkeley. Dr. Brooks was responsible for developing the breakthrough Alpha-L-Polylactate in Cytomax and is a key component in the development and updating of every CytoSport product.

CytoSport Manufacturing

CytoSport manufactures their products on-site in their state-of-the-art production facility in Concord (one of the largest and most modern in the USA). They adhere to the "Good Manufacturing Practices" as outlined by the United States Government for consumable products. Many less expensive products are produced with questionable manufacturing methods and sanitation, reducing freshness and potency and even introducing toxic elements into some products.

CytoSport believes in "green" manufacturing, making every effort to choose equipment and production methods that minimize pollution and environmental damage. Recyclable packaging and shipping material is used whenever possible.

CytoSport utilizes quality assurance experts to visually inspect each product before it leaves their facility. Tamper resistant seals are placed on all products, which ensure freshness and eliminate contamination risk. Because they manufacture on-site they can stock minimal inventory and turn it over to you quickly. Inventory is stored in a clean, temperature-stable environment and you are guaranteed a fresh product.
